Demonstration of How To Make a Scientific Poster with LaTeX

• The poster shown left was prepared with LaTeX, using the geometry package and PSTricks. It demonstrates how LaTeX can easily be used as a "Desktop Publishing" package.

• The basic design philosophy I have used is to first define chunks of the poster and then to position these chunks on the page within a full-page pspicture environment.

• Each chunk may be simple \parbox containing text, or may be another pspicture environment with a complicated internal structure.
